SOIL, CULTURE & HARVEST

On the boundary of Ribeauvillé, delimited to the South by the road  «Osterbergweg» and to the West by the Grand Cru Geisberg, the Osterberg vineyard exposes its slopes East South East on 24,60 hectares. At an altitude of 250 to 350 m., on slopes which are average to steep, it benefits from a very sunny environment. Soils are clayey and stony. The vineyard is cultivated based upon Alsatian tradition and  “AOC Alsace Grand Cru” specifications are followed. Harvesting is done by hand – pressing is carefully undertaken with pneumatic presses.
