20,10

The excellent balance of this Pinot Noir reflects the quality of the fruit and the well-judged extraction. An exemplary red for the region.

A fine accompaniment to a poached chicken breast and a mushroom risotto, roast veal or pigeon stuffed with goose foie gras.

Description

Tasting notes:

Ruby red colour with glints of crimson-purple, good intensity and depth. The meniscus is clear, bright and transparent.

A pleasantly youthful wine.

Intense, open, appealing nose. The aromas are distinguished and concentrated, offering red fruit, with blackcurrants, cherries and raspberry jam. Aeration reveals strawberries and a complex floral note of roses.

The nose suggests grapes with an exemplary degree of ripeness. It presents a noble Pinot Noir profile, quite unusual for a red Alsace.

The attack on the palate is dense and full-bodied, accompanied by a well-balanced structure. The mid-palate evolves with a lively freshness, and a hint of fizz. The same splendid of aromas of the nose emerge, still dominated by blackcurrant, with raspberries, strawberries and cherries. Mature tannins present a delicate astringency. The finish has good length, continuing 7 or 8 seconds, with a pleasant liveliness, and a slight astringency.
