Robe slightly lemon yellow with an unctuous leg. In this aromatic and scented wine, one may notice aromas of the litchi fruit and hints of oriental scents. To the palate it is a pleasing, tasty wine. Its overall impression is that of harmony.
Served with dishes seasoned with spices, with Chinese, Indonesian or Indian cooking, but also with cheese such as Munster, blue of Auvergne, or maroilles.
SOIL, CULTURE & HARVEST
Chalky soil. The vineyard is cultivated based upon Alsatian tradition and the « A.O.C. Alsace » specifications are followed. The harvest is done by hand –pressing is carefully undertaken with pneumatic presses.
Fermentation temperature is controlled by cooling – Ageing 8 to 10 months in century old oak casks – Bottling after tangential filtration – Storage in bottles in our cellars at stable temperature.
WINE AND FOOD
Goes well with spicy food, Chinese or Indian food, goose liver, but also with strong cheeses like Munster or Maroilles.
5 to 8 years. Serving temperature 8 to 10° C
Aromatic and perfumed, with litchi aroma and oriental fragrances. Round, strong, but without heaviness, the palate is very elegant with a nice aromatic persistence.
